How to get started.

To get started , first choose an RPG game. I currently manage altghrpg, gher2010 and pc2008. When you have found one you like, email the owner of the list with your  top character choices. If they are availible you will get a confirmation email.As soon as you get that you can send in your profile and start playing!

What is this about a character?

Since this game is a role playing game, what you will do is take on an existing General Hospital or Port Charles character or create your own. Then in an email format you portray your character as they interact with other characters in the game.

What characters are taken?

Go to  Soap RPG Central  to see the list of  RPGs and their characters taken

What happens if I want something to happen and a person playing another character doesn't?
NOTE: This is only enforced in the rpgs I run. Every list owner has their own policies

Storylines are to be decided for your character and only your character. You may not decide what will happen for everyone in a storyline. Exceptions are as follows: A) If you take over a role from someone and play opposite of a person who has originated the other role, you must give their storyline consideration. B) If both you and another person take over existing roles, there is a clean slate and both characters have the right to take their character in whichever direction they chose, regardless of what the originators have begun. This rule will only be bent if it effects the existence of other characters currently in the game.

How many characters can I have?

You can have up to 4 characters but if you consistently cannot keep up, I may ask you to drop one until such time as you get caught up.

What happens if I go away?
NOTE:Again this is ONLY enforced in the games I manage
If you have to go away, you can either write your character out for a couple of days...an emergency trip for them or something like that, or have someone take over your roles temporarily. However, if you have scenes pending and do not respond within a week,without an explaination, I reserve the right to assign someone to those roles temporarily.

How does this thing work?

Well to illustrate I'll use a post I did in an rpg.

 "Hi Felicia." I looked up. "How are you?" Against my initial ideas,
I had warmed to Mac and Felicia. "I'll just have a soda and a salad.
Got a lot on my mind." I said without really knowing why.

At this point Felicia will answer.

Here's another example

  I ran over to my mother. "Mom mom are you all right?" Robert and
Sean came over and secured the suspect. "Are Maxie and Georgie going
to be ok do you think?"
    Hunter
At this point Hunter's mother will respond.
